 The association ‘Paroles d’Hommes et de Femmes’, which is made up of biographers of people, uses memories collected from all sorts of places and in any form to create a social link and develop educational actions. Around a hundred elderly volunteers take part in the intergenerational actions. Individual and collective history can be a source of intercultural links, a source of creation and a source of pedagogy. The memories of the elders, be they natives or migrants, can help build the future for young people if they are given the chance to create direct links and to listen and to experience the daily lives of people who have preceded them. More than 500 intergenerational get-togethers have been organised by Frédéric Praud.

Jacek Rewerski - Poland - Angers

Jacek Rewerski was born in Gdansk in 1955. Having dreamed of travelling from a very young age, he managed to escape from communist Poland with his parents and experience his dream of discovery without every letting go of his roots and his will to explain them to other people. He now lives in Anjou and works as a teacher. Jacek sees himself as a ‘Franco-Polo’, as his children call him, and is committed to telling people about Poland and its real history.
